CAMELBACK VARIATION "SHOTGUN" STYLE 1830-1880

    The camelback is a variation of the Shotgun Style. The camelback has a single story shotgun style in the front that extends to a two-storied addition in the back. This style is thought to have originated when property taxes were assessed according to the level of the street structure's facade.
