ROMANESQUE 1870-1900

    This style was made famous by Boston architect H.H. Richardson. This style features semi-circular arched openings. The building materials are usually mixed brick, stone, and terra cotta creating a red and white contrast. Chevron design is featured. Trinity Church in Boston's Copley Square is a classic example of Romanesque architecture.
