SHINGLE STYLE 1880-1900

    This is an American style that evolved from the Queen Anne-Victorian style although much less decorative and ornate. Dormers are usually eyebrow or hipped rather than gabled. The facade of the house uses shingles or siding. This style was particularly popular at exclusive New England resorts such as Prides Crossing in Beverly Farms.
