African Americans in Boston's Beacon Hill and West End, 1848-1853
"Caution"

Emancipator & Free American 8: 7 (Thursday, June 15, 1843): 27.

It becomes our painful duty to caution the public against the Rev. Isaac Hamilton, who is traveling through the country, collecting money for the alleged purpose of establishing a High School for colored youth at Wilkes Barre, Penn. As he has our name attached to documents respecting the school, we deem it proper thus publically to declare our loss of confidence in him.
