Responsible for all aspects of operation of library
media center, including management, budgeting, collection development,
grant writing and administration, and staffing. Developed library
skills curriculum for high school. Founded the Beverly Educational
Archives. Created and maintained high school library webpage.
Teach all levels of library and information literacy instruction
both individually and through group instruction; also taught the
course Discovering Beverly High School History Through Archival
Research which utilized documents in the Beverly Educational

Helped design and teach this extracurricular, grant-funded
program along with a social studies teacher at Beverly High School
and the director of the Beverly Public Library each spring. Taught
groups of 12 students primary research skills through site visits
to museums, archives, and libraries and regular before-school meetings.

Responsible for Young Adult Services department,
including development of programs such as poetry contests, art contests,
tutoring, health awareness, summer reading, collaboration with local

over the summer to groups of teenagers. Instructor during school

Wrote and received this grant through which a professional
archivist was hired to survey, organize and describe the Beverly
Educational Archives collection.

Wrote and received $4,000 grant from the Secretary
of the Commonwealth, William Francis Galvin, the Massachusetts Historical
Records Advisory Board, and the National Historical Publications
and Records Commission (NHRPC) to teach extracurricular class focusing
on local historic records in collaboration with Beverly Public Library.

Unity Coalition is a student group that promotes
diversity of opinion, lifestyle, and awareness of the world within,
as well as beyond the high school. The group seeks to confront issues
that shape the lives of high school students through programs on
topics such as race, gender, violence and drug-abuse.
